Huge congratulations to the children in Key Stage 2 for their wonderful performances this afternoon on stage at the Villa Marina. Their opening piece, 'Food Glorious Food' from the musical 'Oliver' by Lionel Bart was sung with real precision and character and the adjudicator, Andrea Calladine spoke very highly of the way the children created a real crescendo at the end of the piece. Their second piece, The Lord's Prayer' from 'African Sanctus' by David Fanshawe was beautifully mastered by the children with stunning harmonies, superb phrasing and wonderful expression and was also praised highly by the adjudicator for the dynamics and musicality.

With one point between us and the winners, the Buchan Chamber Choir, the children fully deserved their second place and they should all be so proud of their performances. The adjudicator also commented on how smiley the children were as they assembled on the stage, conveying their enthusiasm and commitment and love of singing. Congratulations to everyone including Mrs Garrett, our wonderful choir leader and Mrs McDowell, our pianist.
