Reception went on the bus to the Community Farm this week. They saw a hairy pig and fed him potatoes! The children saw two donkeys who ate lots of grass, as well as a goat who was best friends with a loaghtan sheep! There were lots of chickens and cockerels and even some Indian runner ducks. The children continued to meet lots of other animals including some guinea pigs, a cat and a dog! Each group had a chance to go on a gnome hunt around the farm. They planted nasturtiums seeds in a pot after sieving the soil and made sure they had water. Before leaving, there was time to talk a walk to a round house and a hobbit house! Finally, they walked down the lane to the bus and saw lots of sheep on the way! The children had a fabulous day.
