This year, World Book Day takes place on Thursday 3rd March, 2022.
At Cronk y Berry School, we would like to invite the children to come to school on that day dressed either in their pyjamas to highlight the importance of bedtime stories, or as their favourite book character. Throughout the day, the children will be taking part in various reading / book themed activities.
As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations, we will be running a competition on our World Book Day Itslearning page. Children are invited to take a picture of themselves (and any willing family members!) recreating the illustration on the front cover of a book. Please see the attached examples. Photographs should be uploaded to the WBD Itslearning page by no later than Friday 4th March 2022. These will then be judged and a prize awarded for the best one.
Every child will also be given a £1 book token to spend at their local book shop, which will be stocking a range of special £1 books in celebration of World Book Day.
