In the heart of Maughold, our adventure began,
With eager faces, and a four-day plan.
We arrived at the Venture Centre, clean, wide-eyed and keen,
Ready for days of adventure, unlike we'd ever seen.
With instructors so friendly, and skies clear and bright,
We set off on our journey, from morning 'til night.
Archery, abseiling, and axe throwing, we tried,
With Dan, Kai, Rocky, Rachel, Olly, Abbey, Matty and Dave as our guides.
Orienteering challenges, we tackled with glee,
With Year 6, the predator, versus teachers who through bushes could see.
Kayaking, canoeing, through waters so blue,
Air rifle shooting, and high ropes we flew.
Team building, pedalos, under the sun's warm light,
We laughed and we played from morning 'til night.
Campfires and toasted marshmallows, a delightful sight,
As we shared stories, under the stars' soft light.
Orienteering adventures, gorge walking with friends,
In wet suits and muddy shoes, our fun never ends.
Sunshine and BBQs, with laughter and cheer,
As we made memories, that would last through the year.
With late nights and giggles, we zipped through the air,
On the assault course, with wind in our hair.
"Who's socks?" and "It's not my towel!" filled the air,
Is anyone missing a sock from their pair?
With blindfold trails, and challenges anew,
We conquered each obstacle, together, me and you.
And as we bid Maughold farewell, with a tear in our eye,
We knew these memories would never die.
For in the heart of Maughold, our spirits ran free,
At the Venture Centre, where we dared to be.
With friends and instructors, we laughed and we played,
In the beauty of nature, our memories made.
